I’m the Financial Controller for Dole UK, which is part of the wider Dole PLC business - one of the largest providers of fresh produce in the world. I’ve been in my current position for 4 years, having previously spent 9 years at KPMG as an auditor, after joining their graduate scheme. 

I’ve been an ACA chartered accountant for 9 years and have a BA in Business Economics from the University of Liverpool.

I’ve lived in Ormskirk for the past 10 years with my wife and young son (who attends Munchkins). In my spare time I’m a keen runner and I’m an avid Formula One fan.

Paul Nelson

Hi, I’m Paul!

I became a founding Trustee of Munchkins after all three of my children attended the setting before moving on to Moorgate Nursery. Volunteering in this role has been a fantastic opportunity to give back to the local community where my children grew up and to help ensure as many children as possible get the best start to their education.

What started as a few meetings a year to support the financial stability of the charity behind Munchkins has grown into an ongoing commitment to supporting the incredible team who make a real difference every day. Gemma and the entire staff work tirelessly to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for every child, and I’m proud to be part of that mission.
