As parents and families are a child's first educator, we firmly believe that by working closely together we can provide the best possible start for children to thrive and develop. We therefore welcome parents, carers and grandparents coming into Nursery School. We operate an Open Door Policy - all parents are welcome into nursery at any time of the day and appointment is not necessary.
You can also get involved via:
Parents Meetings – Termly meetings will be arranged between the parents and the class teacher. This is an opportunity to find out how your child is getting on at nursery and ask any questions.
Parent App - We use the Parent App Connect to keep parents and carers informed of important information, news and events. Please let us know if you have any technical issues with the app and we will arrange another form of communication.
Learning Journals/Class Dojo - Parents and carers are more than welcome to request their child's special Learning Journal file at any point during the school year, we regularly encourage this as our children love sharing what they do at Nursery School. All parents/carers are invited to join Class Dojo when their child starts their Moorgate Nursery School journey.
Social Media - Follow Moorgate Nursery School and Munchkins Childcare on social media for all the latest goings on.

Volunteering - If you would like to volunteer, please get in touch - we regularly ask parents/carers/members of the community to come and support our curriculum or to lend a helping hand at events such as the Summer Fair or Christmas Nativity.
All volunteers and students will be inducted into Nursery School and given our induction pack that will provide more information on:
- Nursery and Munchkins Childcare
- The support you can expect as a volunteer or student
- Information on child protection, health and safety and other relevant policies
