Funded Childcare
Families receiving government support
From the term after your child turns 9 months, you may be able to claim 30 hours a week early education and childcare up to a maximum of 1,140 hours per year, funded by the government.
If you are in reciept of the following support you will need to apply directly with your local council. - Income Support
- income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Universal Credit - if you and your partner are on a low income from work (this usually means a combined income of less than £15,400 a year after tax)
- the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit (or both), and your household income is £16,190 a year or less before tax
Working Families
For eligible working families in England there is now available:
- Up to 30 hours of early education over 38 weeks of the year for children aged 9 months and over.

Funded places are not capped at Munchkins Childcare. All ages of children eligible for funding can access funded sessions. We do not charge for meals or snacks. Breakfast and snack is provided free of charge, lunches and dinners should be provided by parents. We do not charge for any non-food consumables or activities.
A £50 refundable depsoit is charged for all children when they enrol at Munchkins and a late payment of £1.00 per minute may be charged if children are consistently collected late..
