Parents, Grandparents and Cares in Nursery
Please come into school! Parents and families are always welcome at Moorgate Nursery School and Munchkins Childcare and we value parents as the child’s fist educator. We believe that parents and nursery work closely together to provide the best environment for children to thrive and develop. We encourage parents to become involved in nursey life through the following actvites:
Open door policy – all parents are welcome into nursery at any time of the day and appointment is not necessary
Volunteer – if parent would like to work in school ther are more than welcome. Some parents have particular skills they would like to share with the nursery such as playing a musical instrument, this can easily be arranged. Other parents may just like to come along and join in the fun
Events – Christmas Nativity, Summer Galas these are just a few of the events we encourage our parents to be involved in throughout the year.
Parents Meetings – Termly meetings will be arranged between the parents and their child’s key person. This is an opportunity to find out how your child is getting on at nursery and ask any questions.
Volunteers and Students
People volunteer at Moorgate for a variety of reasons. They may want to gain more experience before applying for a job, make new friends or give something back to the community. Whatever your reason for wanting to volunteer, we would love to hear from you. We will match your interests to the appropriate area within Moorgate and get you started.
All volunteers and students will be invited to an induction session and shown our induction pack that will give you some more information about:
- Nursery and Munchkins Childcare
- The support you can expect as a volunteer or student
- Information on child protection, health and safety and other relevant issues
You are able to get involved with all aspects of sessions we provide, from planning and preparation, to the running and evaluation of session, helping children with their learning or making the environment welcoming.
